The first race of the 2025-26 Sydney Harbour Women’s Keelboat Series, was held on 28 September 2025 in near perfect conditions.  The sun was shining and although gusty, the predicted 20 knots did not come through.  The series has two divisions, as well as female helm and all female boats, with numbers increased from last year.   The host club for this race was CYC.

RANSA can be proud of all their women sailors participating.  In the first race, the club was well represented in division two podium placings - 3 out of the first 4 boats were RANSA boats! 

Racing was close in Division 2.  First place went to Melody, a Swanson Dart, helmed by Marike Koppenol; close behind (1 min 34 seconds) in third place was Alcamy, an s80 helmed by Ruth Lawrence; close behind Alcamy (1 min 33  seconds) in 4th place was Silky, and Alerion 33, helmed by Eloise Clarke.
