The current NSW Health requirements will need to be followed by all RANSA members and guests when using the Club including Navy Bear Cafe. This means Members entering the clubhouse will need to be double vaccinated and will have to produce their vaccination certificate to show their double vaccination status and abide by the indoor capacity requirements of 1 person per 4 sqm.
As of today restrictions are further eased and we are excited about getting back in to sailing and to welcoming you here at the Boatshed!

The rules applicable from this Monday 11th October are summarised below, further easing of restrictions will follow once the 80% vaccination target is reached.
The mandatory pre season skippers briefing was held by Zoom on 6 October, and included the RMS briefing, a presentation on the use of Sailsys, and a preview of the 21/22 Season at RANSA. The video recording can be reviewed at the link below.
Australian Sailing have consulted with Police Marine Area Command on how latest easing of restrictions applies to boating, and they have issued the statement below clarifying that the new gathering rules of 5 people outdoors DO NOT apply to any kind of boat and this includes sailing boats whether open or with a cabin.

The Inaugural RANSA TRIVIA night was a big hit with all those who took part: 26 teams 'turned up' for a fun session of interesting and intriguing questions served up by Andrew who hosted the evening with a perfect balance of authority and humour.
Sadly it appears we are in lockdown for a further 4 weeks with no competitive sailing on the immediate horizon, and NSW maritime has issued the following update on the situation for the boating community.
Owing to the renewal of restrictions for a further week the races scheduled for Saturday 10 and Wednesday 14 July are abandoned, and the procedures advised in the earlier news item below remain in place.
