An exciting opportunity has arisen for a group of members to lease one of the Sailability Sonars for the season, 'Midwicket' located on the Hard Stand

The lease provides full use of the boat for casual sailing at any time, along with the option to join racing fleets such as the RANSA Friday Twilights, Combined Clubs Inshore Series, Women’s Keelboat Series, and more.

The Sonar is a 23-foot day boat, formerly the three-person Paralympic class keelboat, designed by Bruce Kirby (of Laser fame). With a small cuddy cabin for gear, a secure and comfortable cockpit, and lively performance, they are fun to sail — and fast! Optimum crew is three for racing or four for casual sailing, making them none crew-intensive.

This is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to dip their toe into the reality of boat ownership, or for those who already love sailing but want to enjoy the pleasures without the downsides. The lease runs for six months, after which you may choose to renew or simply walk away — no selling, no hassle.
