Covid Boating Rules

Sadly it appears we are in lockdown for a further 4 weeks with no competitive sailing on the immediate horizon, and NSW maritime has issued the following update on the situation for the boating community.

Owing to the renewal of restrictions for a further week the races scheduled for Saturday 10 and Wednesday 14 July are abandoned, and the procedures advised in the earlier news item below remain in place.

Australian Sailing met with RMS this week to clarify what are permitted sailing activities these have now been published on the RMS web site. Link included on this page. Key points socialising or cruising is not a reasonable excuse and 1 per 4 square meter rule applies.

Taste of Gin Night Friday 28th + Regular Bar Open

This Friday's DIFAD (Drop In For A Drink) is a special gin tasting event for only $30 per head, commencing 6pm. The regular bar will be open for those wanting a beer or a wine. Rear Commodore Chris Nixon invites all members to 'Drop in for a Drink' at the RANSA Boatshed from 5pm tomorrow Friday 23rd April. We hope this will be the first of a series of 'DIFAD' Fridays this winter at RANSA, some with special themes and as member forums, but let's get started tomorrow to christen our brand new till system and new drink offerings, still the one of the best value bars in Sydney! The weather cleared and the RANSA Regatta was held in a moderate southerly with lots of love on Valentines Day this year! Once again RANSA hosted competitors from multiple clubs across 7 divisions for a great day of racing and then post racing prize giving and celebration back at the Club
