SKIPPERS BRIEFING 2021

The mandatory pre season skippers briefing was held by Zoom on 6 October, and included the RMS briefing, a presentation on the use of Sailsys, and a preview of the 21/22 Season at RANSA. The video recording can be reviewed at the link below.

SAILING - COVID UPDATE

Australian Sailing have consulted with Police Marine Area Command on how latest easing of restrictions applies to boating, and they have issued the statement below clarifying that the new gathering rules of 5 people outdoors DO NOT apply to any kind of boat and this includes sailing boats whether open or with a cabin.

Covid Boating Rules

Sadly it appears we are in lockdown for a further 4 weeks with no competitive sailing on the immediate horizon, and NSW maritime has issued the following update on the situation for the boating community.

On water activities allowed by RMS

Australian Sailing met with RMS this week to clarify what are permitted sailing activities these have now been published on the RMS web site. Link included on this page. Key points socialising or cruising is not a reasonable excuse and 1 per 4 square meter rule applies.

Rear Commodore Chris Nixon invites all members to 'Drop in for a Drink' at the RANSA Boatshed from 5pm tomorrow Friday 23rd April. We hope this will be the first of a series of 'DIFAD' Fridays this winter at RANSA, some with special themes and as member forums, but let's get started tomorrow to christen our brand new till system and new drink offerings, still the one of the best value bars in Sydney!
