As the twilight season continues there are other opportunities for sailing at weekends, with the next Combined Clubs Saturday Race on 30 January, and the following regattas coming up over the next few weeks..

Commodore Update 22nd December

A final message before the Christmas holidays shutdown of the Office. Good news is that all tested negative for Covid that had attended the RANSA Christmas breakfast & Navy Bear has been deep cleaned.

Urgent COVID contact advice - Sunday 13th Updated Saturday

On Friday RANSA was advised of a COVID19 issue at the Club. In light of the Premier's press conference earlier today urging all Sydney-siders to refrain from non-essential activity, we have taken the decision to close the Club for the remainder of the weekend. NSW Health advise people who were at the Club on Sunday 13th between 10-4 to isolate and get tested.

Twilight Race Friday 18th CANCELLED

Unfortunately in view of near gale warnings, potential lightning storms and the current COVID situation with Northern Beaches we have decided to cancel tonight’s race and post race activities. Please advise crew and friends that need to know. We look forward to seeing you all for the first race of 2021 on 8 January, and in the meantime wish you all a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.

Commodore's Christmas Message

Commodore Bill Wyllie has a Christmas message for members with an update on some of the recent activities being undertaken at the Club.

RANSA Christmas Breakfast Sunday 13th December

The annual Christmas Breakfast is on again this year this weekend. A full breakfast will be served including eggs, bacon, toast, pastries and fruit, and the usual half bottle of bubbly all for $30 per person - all profits to our favoured charity the Sir David Martin Foundation. Breakfast will be served from 0930 – 1130, and the bar will be open. Bookings essential via the Office.

Navy Bear Cafe Now Open Full Time

After 3 years of wrangling with council and various government departments Navy Bear Café was able to open yesterday permanently, not just a sailing day. Thanks to everyone that contributed to getting this approved. Members show your membership card for a discount when you order a meal or a coffee at RANSA.

Friday Twilight Racing Begins 23rd October

RANSA's iconic Friday Twilight Racing season begins in 2 weeks so get your entry in now. We are planning the usual 4 Divisions and what a great time to get out on the water and participate in another memorable summer season at RANSA!

Twilight Series Skippers Briefing Recording

All skippers entering the Twilight Series must attend the skippers briefing, and this year it was held via Zoom so for those that could not make the live event you can watch the recording here to be NoR compliant.

Welcome to Spring at RANSA, where we have just finished a successful Winter Wednesday series, and are now looking forward to the Twilight Racing Season.

Safety Equipment Inspections Cat 4-7 Sunday 6th September

You will need new safety certification in order to be able to compete in the new sailing season, and this is the ideal opportunity to get it done. Please contact the Office to register your interest if you need safety certification for RANSA Twilights or for a series beginning before that date or are not able to make Sunday 6th.

Commodore's 20 Year Vision for RANSA -Video

Commodore Dave Giddings will be standing down as Commodore at this years AGM as he has served the maximum of 3 continuous years allowed under the constitution. In this video he outlines some of his thoughts for the future of RANSA

Sir David Martin Foundation Message

The chosen charity of choice RANSA supports is the Sir David Martin Foundation that helps youth in crisis. We donated $5,000 this year and read on to see the letter from Susie Martin to RANSA about the foundation or read more about what they do.

WELCOME TO THE NEW MEMBERSHIP YEAR AT RANSA

With the challenges over the past few months, along with the fact that the Clubhouse has not been fully open, the board will be offering reduced membership fees for the 20-21 membership year. Shortly you will be receiving your renewal notice as our membership year is July 1. However, fees are being deferred till 1st October for a pro rata renewal membership of nine (9) months based on the 2019 membership fee.

COVID Spacing At RANSA

With the return to racing on Wednesday's and Saturday's this means more people coming through RANSA. To comply with NSW Health COVID-19 guidelines there is new signage, hand sanitiser and maximum numbers allowed in certain areas. Read on for the details.
